HOST A BRIGHT & HAUTE TABLESCAPE

SMLXL

This tablescape is bright, haute and easy to create yourself. Figure out what you are going to serve and go from there. The starting point for my design was the table runner by  Kate Spade , called Hopscotch.  The bright colors are a definite eye catcher, being on top of a natural wood table really makes it pop. Along with the wood charger,  the white plates by Juliska, and the yellow sunflower bowls( used for soup or salad) from Pottery Barn, really make the tablescape stand out. Each place setting is simple and easy but look beautiful whether it is 2 people or 10.

To enhance the look, I am a lover of roses as they make anything look elegant all on their own, and  they come in so many different colors. These are simply white, and a coral/yellow/orange variety.

The inspiration behind this was to play off of the table runner incorporating all the colors in each place setting. By putting the navy napkin between the white plate and yellow bowl it makes the those two colors pop next to the table runner. The flowers were another GREAT way to tie it all together and make the whole look work. If you don’t want to use flowers, then it’s an easy place to place your food.

For the bar cart, I am showing it with the Juliska Isabella Martini glasses, because depending on the menu being served there are a variety of martini’s that can be a delicious addition to dinner.
