FEELING BLUE THAT SUMMER IS OVER…HOST A DINNER
Every summer we love our weekly swim and BBQ weekend tradition with both our family and friends. With the heat index averaging anywhere between 90-100 degrees, swimming is the only way to keep yourself cool. Now as summer comes to an end and the school year starts up, I always like to invite our family over for a traditional Friday night dinner to enjoy a good old fashioned sit down dinner. My go to china, this time, is the Berry & Thread Collection by Juliska, shown in whitewash, the glasses are the Colette Delft Blue Goblet, by Juliska. This dinner was a small intimate dinner for 6, preparation and clean up were easy . All of my dinnerware & glassware is dishwasher safe, so clean up takes no more then 10 minutes.
To keep my table fresh and airy I picked a beautiful “blue-toned” table cloth, that complements my dishes, adding some color to my whitewash Juliska dishware. The placemat is also from Juliska, using dark navy helps create a defined individual space. For the personal touch I like to use our monogramed napkins, having a set of 12 in your home never hurts. They wash and iron out real easy , helping to make any sit down dinner, indoors or outdoors just a bit more elegant. Flowers are ALWAYS a staple in our household. I love using them to freshen up a room, but especially with each tablescape. This week I chose white/green hydrangeas along with 3 napkin ring holder roses. I liked that the roses from the napkin rings tied into the roses in the flowers, tying the whole table together.
If you have any questions about this tablescape, please email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org, I am happy to help!
