It’s my anniversary this month & what better way to celebrate then to share a little bit about my wedding!

Congratulations are in order, YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED! When you are finally asked that one question, everything becomes a blur and then the fun begins! Over the course of the next few months , you need to find a venue, get your dress, organize all day of vendors, food/cake tastings and all the while sit back and enjoy the process of becoming a Mrs.

A huge help as a new bride, and personally recommended by HML, is to allow yourself to have help. If not for the entire process, then for at least the day of the wedding, splurge on YOU and hire an event coordinator.  As a bride, enjoying the big day is something that you will remember and cherish forever. For this wedding, Parties by Lyn, a Miami-Based event planning company, listened to the brides wishes and made them ALL come true!(The bride was the Original HML herself)!(SIDE NOTE: I’m posting my photos  because it is our 7th wedding anniversary today!)

Fairmont Turnberry Isle, Aventura, Florida

Personally the wedding was all about the location, food and the flowers. Did I mention I am a LOVER of everything flowers?!? Well I am! Colors for the day of were blue, dark red, pink & cream. Sounds like a lot of colors but I will break it down for you , and it will be seen in the photos. First off the inspiration for the wedding was the time of year. My husband and I always wanted a “Fall wedding” in South Florida.  We chose the end of November ( which is where the dark reds came from) and the location was beautiful tropical South Florida ( Blues, creams and pretty pink). I wanted to incorporate the blue in the flowers for the outdoor ceremony, making the blue of the bridesmaids dresses really pop. The dark red, one of my favorites was the color of the Mother of the Brides Dress, and the Mother of the Groom wore a  beautiful golden color that went with everything!

My bouquet was simple, white/cream roses with two pink roses to symbolize my two grandma’s who had passed away and could not be there to celebrate with me. ( close up below of my

bouquet; the orchids were on the table it was placed on for the photo.)

The event was as formal as we could make it , Black Tie and my husband, along with both of our fathers opted to wear top hats, and all of the groomsman wore tuxedos with tails. I LOVE that for one time in our lives we will have that photo that we can look back at say, WOW we dressed up well!

The next part of our magical evening was the cocktail hour which was the beginning of the food. My now husband was all about picking out food that everyone would remember and love. We also wanted to create a space that was transitioning from the outside with the assorted colors to now removing the blue and creating this VERY romantic setting leading into the ballroom.

The Seating Card Table was another beautiful , yet simply elegant touch that allowed the seating card to also double as our party favor, a gorgeous key ring that became a heart or an oval. The romantic feel of the white orchids with lush hydrangea’s & cream roses, really made for a beautiful entrance into our reception! (We called it heaven on a table!)

Finally we entered the ballroom, where we took our first dance as husband & wife ALONE. It was PERFECT! We took all the beauty of what was to be our wedding reception in and enjoyed it as a married couple, before we shared it all with everyone we loved.

Sweetheart table…for the newlyweds; with the cake centered behind ( Centrally located in the ballroom)

The centerpieces were larger then life, thank you to Parties by Lyn! My end goal with these arrangements was to feel like everyone was in a romantic garden! Each centerpiece had hydrangeas in cream, roses ( dark red, light pink, cream) peonies in a light pink, & garden spray roses in cream. In the vases we had roses intertwined in water to just give a pop of the dark romantic red. At that the base of each of the arrangements we had 3 mini arrangements! I’m feeling like I’m there all over again!

The accent in the room was gold, between the chairs & the gold lace work in the tablecloth overlay, it really helped make the entire night sparkle! Makes me remember it like it was yesterday!

The attention to detail was incredible, but the memories that were made that night I became a Mrs. are so much more than just that!
