Host Fall In Love

Host Fall in Love with a Simple Tablescape

Today is the first day of fall and well that means that Holiday season is right around the corner! I personally am a LOVER of everything fall, and this is the day when I know that Halloween is  exactly 40 days away, Thanksgiving is 63 days from now and well that leaves Hanukkah, Christmas and New Years! I love ???? Fall so much that my kids both know that we decorate the entire house with everything from our little grateful pumpkins to full blown halloween/fall decor that sits on our mantel for a good 2-3 months.

To get in to the spirit of fall, I always love to host a casual dinner at my home that incorporates everything from fall colors to fall style foods (HML Chili Recipe here). I allow myself for the first time of the season to wear a deep beautiful red, on my nails , my personal choice is Essie "Bordeaux" , leading  into Essie's "Wicked" for Halloween, then around Christmas and New Year's I'm loving on OPI's "BIG APPLE RED". See even my nails get into the spirit of things!

This tablescape is all about incorporating a relaxed, romantic feel using roses, a fall pumpkin runner from Pottery Barn  and bring nature to the table with the wood chargers.  Fall for me is the beginning of the romantic season, I think warming up by the fireplace, a glass of red wine and chili, recipe above. This is the time of year I focus on decor with lots of warm colors, and  the red roses along with the wood chargers create a warmth that make it feel cozy, all the while still being elegant . The place setting is  Juliska Berry & Thread.  I like to use a simple white washed table setting , as to not take away from the beautiful richness of the red and wood. Overall the tablescape shows that you can mix romance and nature , creating a beautiful environment to enjoy good food but even better company.
